Cyberpunk 2077

This comes from CD Projekt Red and is published by the same company. This is not only for PC platforms, but PS7 and XBO as well.

This title is yet to be released but it offers plenty of promise and we can’t wait to see it.

This is an extension of the hit game, The Wicher CD Projekt expects to have Cyberpunk 2077 in the marketplace soon. Although the company hasn’t yet released much information about the game but what has bee announced is that this time we’re talking far into the future. This would include open-world game with a wide spectrum of quests, campaigns and other interesting challenges that each player must complete. At the time of this writing, that’s all we have been able to find out.

E3 is just around the corner so we expect to receive the official word to share soon on this new title. That would include the overall narrative and possible rules of the game.

Psychonauts 2

This baby was developed by Double Fine Productions and published by Starbreeze Studios. This is for PC, PS4 and XBOX.

Release date is also to be announced

If you liked Psychonauts in its original form, you’ll be pleased at this title. This much awaited sequel will be coming out shortly. The developers are pretty tight-lipped about this video game but it is expected to follow Psychonauts in the Rhombus Ruin.

This title aimed to connect the first game with the sequel. We do know that players to resume the role of Raz and his Psi-Powers. Also, we’re given to believe that this may also reveal more of the history not only of Raz but his family as well.

Anthem

BioWare is the developer of this game published by Electronic arts.

This too is for Pc, XBO and PS4. Promised release date is 2019 in March.

Upon the official announcement of the game’s development in 2014, developers emphasized the game would be focused on investigation, stealth, and a whole lot of detective work. They kept that promise as the game is less focused on action and more about psychological horror and exploration. Odds are with this game, if you find yourself constantly in combat, you’re doing it wrong.

The open world environment of the game, named Darkwater, set in 1924 is visually stunning. The characters in this part of the game are compelling, to say the least, yet still feel unpolished, as if their stories haven’t been completely flushed out. Our titular hero, the cliche private investigator, Edward Pierce has been hired to investigate the mysterious death of a famous painter, her son and her husband.

Much of the time spent in Darkwater is spent negotiating with hostile locals, digging up clues such as newspaper clippings and documents, and examining anything that looks out of place. For some, this is the most entertaining part of the game. However, it seems developers weren’t interested in developing this part of the game further. They mythos of Call of Cthulhu rears its head about two hours into the game, this rushed and sloppy writing robs the games of any tension later on.

While the writing may be sloppy, the aesthetic of the game is appealing, if you’re a fan of B-movie gimmicks like that of the early Resident Evil games. The upside of this is the game is slower paced and fans have expressed pleasure with this aspect of the game.

However, fans have noticed certain limitations that the game cannot overcome. Awkward controls, poorly written subtitles, and the underdeveloped plot makes the game frustrating at best and downright exasperating at worst.

Perhaps these problems aren’t because of the developers, but more to do with the game’s complicated history. When it was initially announced, The Call of Cthulhu was to be developed by Frogwares a much larger development company than Cyanide. Through various developer changes and multiple setbacks, it is clear the game suffers from so many conflicting development teams and ideas.

Yet for all the flaws the game suffers, it can be an enjoyable way to pass the time. Like many RPG games, diligence is the name of the game, and this game is no different. New clues unlock new dialogue options that help you achieve your goals. All of these clues can be retrieved at any time in the menu, which also contains detailed information about Darkwater island.

Edward Pierce’s performance is mainly based on you the player. There are character traits for Pierce that players can pick and choose from in order to help him solve the case. Five character traits can be chosen: Strength, Eloquence, Investigation, Psychology, and Spot Hidden (this is an awesome ability as it allows you to find hidden items in certain specific areas).

As the game progresses other traits are added including Occultism and Medicine, which you obtain by collecting medical texts and occult items throughout the game. All these traits and tools help develop Pierce further so that he may complete his investigation. The great part about these traits is that the game becomes less about statistics. Stats don’t matter in this game as they neither guarantee or prevent your success.

What does matter, however, is the character’s development and strategy for conducting his investigation. For example, when Pierce is attempting to enter a guarded warehouse to search for clues, he has the ability to do this in a variety of ways based on character traits. If you have a high abundance of Eloquence you can talk your way past the guards, if you have a high-level of strength then maybe you can break the lock on the door.

While the game feels clunky and could use some polish, its an entertaining way to spend time if you like mystery games and challenges. The shortcomings of The Call of Cthulhu notwithstanding, the game is an interesting mystery with stunning visuals. Perhaps in the next edition, Cyanide will find a way to smooth out the wrinkles and make this game the best it can be.

This year has seen major X-box games hitting the screens of most gamers like “Darksiders III” and “Red Dead Redemption”. However, 2019 is looking to be an even more promising year for gamers, as many X-box One games are scheduled to be released. Here is a list of the top upcoming X-box One games set for 2019.

Resident Evil 2 Remake

Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft Classic is going to launch in 2019. This announcement was made during their annual Blizzcon convention. Blizzard revealed that servers will be accessible to all players with an active subscription to World of Warcraft. This will be without an extra cost. World of Warcraft Classic is going to grant players an opportunity to play the original base game. They can have the experience of the game just as it was more than 10 years ago. This is before the gameplay changes and the different expansions. Specifically, Patch 1.12 will be the foundation of Classic: Drums of War. It was released in 2006.

To enjoy World of Warcraft, players will not be required to buy separate game. Instead, players will jump in after new servers have gone live. However, everything has gone back to basics and players will require to create new characters before playing. Everyone must agree that the previous version of the World of Warcraft was much challenging and slow paced. Players were leveling up with far much slower pace and the version had much less content. Much as Classic feels like a nostalgia trip, the updated version is going to be new experience and more exciting compared to the previous version. The current World of Warcraft will require much grinding and will be more time consuming. However, it features quality and instant leveling. The launch of World of Warcraft Classic will be in summer 2019 in the US. This means it will be anytime between June and August.

Players will get access to Onyxia and Molten Core. These are the 2 raids (40-man) that Blizzard launched in the 2004 in their original title. That will be the first stage of the launch. The second stage will feature Blackwing Lair and ZG (Introduction). Stage 3 will be the introduction of Gates of Ahn’Quirai as well as the opening of AQ which will be a major server event.

Remember that in World of Warcraft, what they used to call ‘Vanilla’ was just static. Changes was required, and it was required to considerable extent. Blizzard understood this very well. They overhauled the functionality of almost every class on the original base game. This was long overdue, and they needed to do it. Blizzard could have used 2 basics ways to approach vanilla server. The first approach could be the “simple” method where they could dump all “Vanilla” content. This would involve dumping all the content as it used to be just before re-opening of the Dark Portal. However, Blizzard chose a different route. They wanted to give people new experience by recreating the whole server. This will be achieved by inclusion of new introductions and major world events.

This recreation is of great magnitude which could help bring a feeling that many people would have wished to get from the original game. Some people had very bad experience. After getting into the server drive to try and unlock the gates of one of the game – Ahn’Quirai-the launch event became a disconnect disaster when the gryphon died mid-air after dis-pawning. This was caused by server lag and finally could not go into the relevant zone. That was just a feedback from an unhappy player. This will not happen after the recreation, this time round.

As stated before, the previous version of World of Warcraft game was much slower compared to new one. Will it be automatic that players are going to enjoy the game that is paced very differently? In the original game in 2004, classes of the character were more limited and there were fewer options in the game to choose from. The options were also far much varied compared to the updated version. There are more features such as pet battling systems and daily repeatable quests.

I am sure that no one wants to go back to the period of no kill sharing, one-tag-per-mob, slow movement, slow leveling among many other challenges with the old game. Some people say that the original version was very easy and old players used to be bored with the game. But someone can argue that they wanted to give inexperienced players a chance to join and play without many challenges.

Blizzard’s decision to launch World of Warcraft Classic game and to recapture most of the main world events is very important. It demonstrates their effort to give the game a chance to be very successful.

Many different series of games have become available as of lately, which begs the question: Which game is the best of each series? The days of a huge hit single being released have long since passed, the vast majority of games coming out, come out with a planned prequel or sequel to them. These sequels and prequels also usually drastically change the game, sometimes in ways we dont really want, or need them to. People usually have a strong opinion on which game out of which particular series they enjoy the most, and Age of Empires is no different. The vast majority of Age of Empires players will tell you that Age of Empires II was by far the best release to date, though there will still be the odd person that favors the first, or even the third release.

It is a bit unusual to have the first game of a series remastered, only after the second one has, but it is not unheard of. Breathing new life into an old game can be a great way of bringing back some nostalgic players that want to relive their past and, in many cases has been a huge success. Sometimes it can be difficult to play an older game, with all the new technology available, and high end graphics, its hard to want to be brought back to a time when pixels were king.

The remastered Age of Empires is still solely focused on ancient history, such as the Greeks, Persians, Romans, and Egyptians. So the game has not lost any of its classic feel. Each campaign, quest, and area is enriched with historical accuracy. It does take some commitment though, as it is a remake of an older game, so it may seem slower paced than some newer games.

The steps taken in the tutorial may seem long and drawn out, but there is a grand scheme to learning all the things the tutorial has to offer. For example, when learning to farm, you are not just learning to farm. You are learning how the farming affects everything else that is connected to it. This is what makes Age of Empires what it is, each small, seemingly insignificant action actually has a purpose. Learning this fact early on is important, in order to properly use your resources and skills later in the game.

Where as with most games, if you had begun to talk about another game in the same series, you would undoubtedly end up arguing over small points, and changes, as sometimes these sequels and prequels can seems similar in alot of ways. Age of Empires, while there are similarities visually, is a completely different game than its counterparts. The focus for each game is on a different era, which makes the core game difficult to throw into another story. Age of Empires: Definitive Edition has kept the original game in all of its glory, but made it much nicer to look at. If you had an interest in trying the original Age of Empires, this would by far be the best way to experience it at its finest.

All of the old tricks and glitches are still available in the remastered Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, including cheat codes, and some not-so-great game mechanics fails, such as not having a gate to install on your walls, so you are left with an open wall, or stuck walling yourself in completely. I personally find these to be good memories, of a simpler time, other people may find it frustrating though. The only thing that you will really find has changed between the original and the remastered version is just that, it has been remastered, that have not added any quality of life features, or anything that would make the game easier in general.

So, to sum it up, Age of Empire:Definitive Edition is really just a remake for anyone who would like to replay, or try out the original Age of Empires. While the other Age of Empire games are more recent, play style wise, and there is certainly more exciting content, and more to do in the later releases, but if you want to take a trip down memory lane, and relive some oldschool gaming experiences, then Age of Empires:Definitive Edition is a good way to experience a nostalgic game, with more modern graphics.
